Hub City Highlanders
Hub City Highlanders is a community band from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Hattiesburg is known as the Hub City because it is conveniently located in the intersection of six major US highways, placing Hattiesburg in the middle between New Orleans (Louisiana), Natchez, Jackson, Meridian, Gulfport (Mississippi), and Mobile (Alabama). Born from a high school band, it’s membership is still primarily juvenile and serves as an alternative path for children whose schools do not have a music program or are home-schooled and members are taught in a classroom after-school. HCH currently competes in Grade 5 and is the only full performing pipe band in the state of Mississippi
